The world is gradually becoming a more welcoming place for kids who feel like outsiders. SYSYI a 21-year-old artist from the small rural town of Thames, New Zealand, represents that paradigm shift in its purest form.
Spending his teenage years learning music production online with a very limited internet connection in his quiet town, SYSYI taught himself how to write, produce and sing. At the age of 17 he uploaded his first tracks, remixes and bootlegs to Soundcloud under the mysterious moniker - SYSYI. This caught the attention of music fans and taste makers across the world, leading to him teaming up with fellow teen sensations SACHI. Together they wrote mega hit 'No More' which SYSYI produced and featured. The track “No More" was picked up by BBC Radio 1’s Diplo and Friends, quickly racking up 3.5 million streams on Spotify and topping charts country wide.
