Welcome to the particle accelerator – where bass lines hit smashing beats, distorted guitar riffs collide with FX and the impact of protons near the speed of light creates new matter.
Vapourtrail is rock. An energetic alternative rock with all its eclectic aspects. Electric guitars, bass, drums and a clean voice. This well-tried setup is being transposed to a new and individual world of sound, which is inspired by, yet does not sound alike, artists such as Amplifier, Oceansize, Porcupine Tree, Muse, Foo Fighters, TOOL, Saliva, Radiohead, only to name a few. Vapourtrail was founded in 2010 by bassist and vocalist Michael Siegenthaler and guitarists Florian Graber and Domenico Oliveto while playing with Stokeseye, a post/metal/rock/alternative/cover band. After a struggling search for a drummer, they were joined by David Kissling, who completed the band musically in 2012. Subsequently they recorded a demo tape and headed out for performing in various Swiss locations (such as the legendary Dachstock in Bern, Sedel in Lucerne or Hirscheneck in Basel). In 2016 they were heard by Stephen McCabe from Recorderhead, who was pleased about their sound and persuaded the guys to get their songs recorded in his studio. The production lasted until the end of 2018, as the recordings where done in chunks while the band members were travelling, taking care of their growing families or playing gigs. Eventually, the Album "We Save Heroes" was completed and released in April 2019.
