DXTA is a British Alt-Rock band lead by Dexter Krenal, with Rob Walsh (guitar), Will Graham (bass), and Tom Grundy (drums) completing the line-up.
The band started in early '18 by Dex after relocating from London to Portsmouth, forced out of the city by his turbulent personal life and impossible rents. Before starting DXTA, Dex cut his teeth on the London circuit including playing Reading & Leeds festivals for South-London artist Misty Miller, performed at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, smashed the punk circuit and supported the Buzzcocks, and also attended world-renowned music academy ACM.
The debut single Going Home features Ben Toon (Harvey Causon's drummer) and was mastered at the world famous Abbey Road Studios. Single 2 - Change - was released 5th March '19, essentially as a break-up song to Krenal's messy way of life in London. The latest single Waves is a collaboration with Bristol artist Astral and was released 30th August '19. This single took a more electronic turn, due to being conceived in Berlin and the city influencing the sound.
