Computer nerd David Ray Gillispie III, was born on 13 January, 2000. He currently resides in the United States and has attended Fairfield High School as well as Butler Tech Career center, majoring in Information Technology.
He began playing piano and creating music at the age of eight, with basic production software called LMMS. In 2012, Gillispie began producing electronic influenced music under the alias "DJ RayGun". He created two tracks "Ballistix" and "Threnody", in addition to several remixes. Today he is professionally known as Rae Martin, and is majorly influenced by artists such as Flume , Kygo , and Illenium . His career began to take off in 2016 after the release of his single “Stay Away” which peaked in the top 100 on Soundcloud within a few short weeks. He was recognized by Alluvion Sounds in Early April of 2016. He has since been working on defining his sound to further branch out from his roots in Electronic Dance Music. In 2018, he began working on launching a collaborative record label known as "Neu.Wav Records".
