Newcastle producer Sam Litchfield, aka Litche, burst onto the music scene in 2016 with his debut single ‘Look Up’, and after much worldwide attention and praise he has not looked back.
Going by the moniker Litche, this young producer had music coming out of him from a very young age, playing drums and later getting into song-writing & production.
At 19 years of age, Litche’s interest into production software inspired a curiosity into song- writing and beat-making. It then turned into an obsession.
Collaboration is a huge part of Litche’s song writing process, mainly working with vocalists to achieve the desired outcome.
Litche released his debut single ‘Look Up’ in 2016, which has since gained over 500,000 plays on Spotify and at the time of release, reached the #1 spot on Hype Machine. Then in 2017 Litche teamed up with Melbourne artist Woodes to remix her breathtaking track ‘Rise’, which has since gained over 100,000 plays on Spotify alone.
2018 is however shaping up to be his year. February saw the release of new single ‘Voyage’ featuring Woodes on vocals, giving us the first glimpse at his upcoming debut ep. ‘Voyage’ has since received a whole heap of love from the Triple J team, gaining radio play on “Home and Hosed”, “2018 With Richard Kingsmill”, “Lunch with Alex Dyson” and “The Friday Night Shuffle”, as well as being added to rotation on Unearthed.
