Nicole Millar is kicking 2018 into gear with her brand new single, Gimme A Break.
It’s her first new song since last year’s runaway hit Blindfolded and the latest in a line of singles that put love, lust and relationships under the microscope. On Gimme A Break, Nicole Millar turns her attention to the feeling of wanting to break free from someone who isn’t getting the message. The result is her biggest, brightest and most fun track yet, an anthem-in-wait for women who want to go their own way.
Things have been non-stop for Nicole Millar since she stepped out in 2016 with her EP Tremble, which went Gold in Australia and amassed a cool 8 million spins on Spotify. She had hits with 2016’s Signals and 2017’s Blindfolded, flying everywhere from Stockholm to L.A. to work on new music, as well as finding time to tour with Troye Sivan, support SZA and fit in sets at Splendour in the Grass. She’s currently touring the country with Lauv, with two sold out shows to go, tonight at Sydney’s Metro Theatre and tomorrow night at the Corner Hotel, Richmond, Vic.
It’s been a rapid ascent for the girl who broke through as the voice of Peking Duk’s ARIA-Winning, triple j-conquering, three times Platinum hit High in 2014. Nicole Millar has more to share soon, but for now give your attention to Gimme A Break.
