Mexico's Sofia Reyes is a vibrant multilingual pop vocalist with a bent toward mixing dance-oriented pop, reggaeton, R&B, and acoustic balladry.
Born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico in 1995, Reyes began singing and playing piano around age ten. Two years later she was writing songs with her father and uploading cover songs to YouTube. Her videos captured the attention of singer/producer Prince Royce, who signed her to his D'Leon Records imprint. In 2013 she released her first single, "Forever Now," featuring rapper/singer/actor Khleo Thomas. A year later Reyes returned with the song "'Muevelo," featuring rapper Wisin. In 2016 Reyes dropped two more singles, "Sólo Yo"/"Nobody But Me" (once again featuring Prince Royce) and "Llegaste Tú" (featuring Reykon), while also making guest appearances on releases by Cash Cash ("How to Love") and Spencer Ludwig ("Diggy"). Reyes' long-awaited debut album, Louder!, was released in early 2017 by Warner Music Latina. The next year, she issued "Vamos por la Estrella" with Paty Cantú and Kap G. The buoyant single was written for the Mexican national soccer team and their entry in the 2018 World Cup. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
