Sofia was born in Monterrey, Mexico. At the age of 16 she moved to Los Angeles to launch her solo career.
Her music and covers on YouTube quickly caught the attention of Warner Music Latina.
Sofia’s first single, "Muévelo" featuring iconic reggaetón artist Wisin charted on Billboard's Top 20 Latin Pop Songs. In 2016, Sofia recorded the track "Sólo Yo" with Prince Royce. In 2017 she released her debut album "Louder!" reaching #1 in [physical] sales in the United States. In 2018, her song "1,2,3" featuring Jason Derulo became a global certified platinum hit in half a dozen countries, including the U.S. This song was later used in advertising campaigns for companies such as Jeep, Target (U.S.) and Easy Jet (UK) . Currently, Sofia is the face for Spectrum Mobile (US) and Fructis Garnier (Mexico & LATAM) and has also been part of major campaigns for Nike (US).
Talking about collaborations, her last single, “R.I.P.” featured powerful Pop Stars Anitta and Rita Ora. She also collaborated with Slushii on the song "Never Let You Go", with Cheat Codes (“Highway”), as well as Abraham Mateo (“Que Ha Pasado”), James Arthur (“Treehouse”) and Italian artist Fred De Palma for his single “Il Tuo Profumo.” all during 2019.
Sofia’s new bilingual single, “A Tu Manera [Corbata]” featuring rising Trap star and renowned songwriter Jhay Cortez, is a vibe matched by Alice in Wonderland inspired visuals where we hear and see a more edgy and flirtatious Sofia.
