Pop Noir's first three releases all debuted in the top 10 of the FMQB Speciality Radio charts. The band’s debut video was Spinner.com's Video of the Day and was voted mtvU's "Freshmen of the Week," after which it spent two months in heavy rotation on the channel. Subsequent releases have received strong support from the likes of UK tastemaker magazines Artrocker and Clash.
Away from Pop Noir, the brothers enjoy great success as design and animation outfit Fantastic Heat Brothers. Much of their output centres around the illustration work of Luke, a regular in MAD Magazine, Viz and a host of other publications. The brothers are the design team behind FYF Festival, Coachella, Festival Supreme and Vans parties, work closely with artists including Zedd and Mac De Marco, as well as most West Coast music venues and promoters and have created animated music videos for Tenacious D, Guster, Desaparecidos, Hoodie Allen and more.
