The story of Mise*En*Scene (or M*E*S) started way back in 1995. Some kids formed a trashy punkband in their hometown Deinze (Belgium).
In 2002, the band started using ska-music as an influence. Influenced by bands like The Clash & Rancid, the band soon started to record a new EP. The album was released by a German label, and soon the band started to tour everywhere in Europe: Germany, the UK, France, Czech Republic, Poland, the Balkan-countries etc.
The second full-album (2009) was recorded in Brighton, England, with the help from folkpunkrockers The Levellers. This resulted in "Wild As Angels", an album that held the middle between energetic punkrock & furious ska. Again, the band toured all over Europe. A dream came true when the band was invited to support Funeral Dress on their tour in the USA in April 2009. This tour brought us to cities like Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Seattle.
Little by little, the band developed into a full-on ska/punk/fiesta band and went in search for the much-needed brassplayers.
As soon as the brass-section came aboard, the gigging continued, with a tour in Mexico (2014) as an absolute highlight.
An EP, "One Way" was released in April 2017. This album sold out in a mere 4 months after releasing this, and was re-released in October 2017, with a vinyl-version to be expected in early 2018 on UK-label Bad Granola Records.
With 9 people on stage, M*E*S continues to unleash one helluva party upon you. Enjoy!
