The musical influences are diverse which can be noticed by listening to 'Transmitter'. Released in 2002 their first full album is available via download services like CD Baby so far. Heavy rocking parts are alternating with sensitive mellow sections and even trip hop/world music/ambient leanings which brings a special elegance and charm to their music.
Additionally ANALOG MISSIONARY's live performances are often provided with a set of middle-eastern music and belly dancing. The video of the opener 'Lilith' won the 'Best Music Video' award in 2003 at the UNA Film Festival. The band is also utilizing a quite extraordinary instrumentation like theremin, chapman stick, dumbek, banjitar and Chistianson is using a hybrid electronic/acoustic drum kit.
2004 the soundtrack album 'Voyage Of The Demeter' followed, based on the silent film classic 'Nosferatu' from 1920 with more songs in a cinematic ambient mood. This confirms that ANALOG MISSIONARY is capable of performing a wide range of music styles - less sharp-edged, more sophisticated and worth a listen.
