Angelo De Augustine's new singles “Blue” and "Santa Barbara" pick up where last year’s studio album, 'Tomb,' produced by Thomas Bartlett (Doveman), left off. Returning to New York City in the fall of 2019 for a short stint, the Thousand Oaks, California-based songwriter capped off a remarkable year by continuing to write new music, while mastering digital production.
“Blue” and “Santa Barbara”—produced by De Augustine and featuring Sufjan Stevens who contributes vocals, piano, and guitar—showcases the stunning evolution of an already auspicious catalog hinted at on 'Tomb' (which now counts The 1975’s Matty Healy and Taylor Swift amongst its admirers).
'Tomb,' the third full length album from Thousand Oaks, CA’s Angelo De Augustine, addresses lost love, the cost of honesty, and the ramifications of regret. It's a deeply inward album, but like the best albums about heartbreak, 'Tomb' transforms pain into beauty. “The album is at its core a prayer for hope and clarity, and a prayer for love,” says De Augustine.
