Machi, from her real name Marilou Audrey Burnel, is a French-Canadian music producer. She first get known at the age of 12 for winning a regional poetry contest in 2005.
She got noticed by her music teachers who encouraged her to learn music theory, due to her ability to reproduce any song on piano. Her music career started on january 7 of 2013 when she published the single "la princesse de larmes" on online stores. A few months later, in 2014, Machi released an EP called "The Other Half" which included two deep piano pieces and two rock tracks. When she published the electronic album "No Destiny", she got contacted by the music productor of the Australian band "The Contagious" (David King) to be a part of their next album "Afraid of the dark" as a music producer. Machi got interviewed three times in 2014 regarding her ability to produce music on computer. In 2016, Machi recorded her first song "You Know That" which had been curated by the Reverbnation team only after a few weeks online. Since then, Machi composes same-sex love songs only. She explained during a panel in a conference that "there is no place left for straight love songs on radio, it's saturated [...] but even though, they just won't play same-sex love songs on radio.".
