Living up to their name, Citizen Of The World sought and found successes outside of their adopted Australian home – touring India and landing a feature role in Guo Dalei's romantic comedy, The Rise Of A Tomboy. The further the band's horizons stretched, the more unique their music became.
With the release of their Memories In My Head EP that picked up triple j airplay for In The Moment, it was clear from their progression that Citizen Of The World were not to tread the same ground twice.
Ushering in the next era of the band, Free To Go smoulders its way to a full-blown inferno of forlornness – building into a crescendo of keys, saxophones and emotive vocals. As the song winds its way through a narrative of heartbreak, it is obvious through the complexities of the music that Citizen Of The World have come into their own as songwriters.
Having already proven the versatility and mainstream appeal of their music, Citizen Of The World now find themselves driven by the desire to take their music as far and wide across the globe as possible.
