Debra Devi blends rock, jam, pop and Americana influences into memorable songs laced with her masterful guitar playing.
Devi jams with Gov't Mule bassist Jorgen Carlsson and, Amfibisn drummer John Hummel on her new EP, A Zillion Stars Overhead, mixed by Sylvia Massy - "a collection of dreamy rockers and psychedelic jams." (Relix)
"A Zillion Stars Overheard emphasizes Devi’s formidable guitar prowess, the beauty of her vocals, and the depth of her songwriting. Devi and her bandmates take the listener on an instrumental roller coaster ride of emotions, with churning intensity giving way to languorous, spacey meditation."
"A mesmerizing and exciting record" - Americana Highways
"Gorgeous rock and fierce jamming" - American Blues Scene
Discouraged as a teen from playing electric guitar because she was female, Devi is making up for lost time, earning growing acclaim as "one of the most remarkable guitarists on the East Coast." (Good Times).
Devi is the first female guitarist invited to endorse Homestead Amplifiers, which builds custom amps for Gov't Mule, Gary Clark Jr. and Jimmy Herring. She's also a Fender artist and the first female guitarist featured on Guitar World's "Lick of the Day." Her music videos have premiered on The Alternate Root, American Blues Scene, Guitar Girl and The Pop Break.
