A twist on modern folk, often heartbroken but always upbeat as they traverse the American landscape, Edison is a trio hailing from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, featuring Sarah Slaton, Dustin Morris, and Grammy-nominated guitarist, Maxwell Hughes (formerly of The Lumineers).
Edison released their debut self-released EP, "Ghosts", in 2015 to local acclaim and the following year caught the attention of Rhyme & Reason Records out of New York. The trio's debut LP, "Familiar Spirit", released in the fall of 2016 and led to support tours with Iron & Wine, Jared & The Mill, and press coverage on Paste Magazine, Daytrotter, Consequence of Sound, and NPR. The band toured relentlessly and carved out time to write in Fort Collins, CO at The Music District in the late winter of 2017. Those sessions helped develop the outfits sound and the "Lion's Heart" EP (August 2018) reflects the sonic and individual growth of the members.
