BirdyHop are Chris and James Goldsmith. The brothers grew up singing and playing music together, developing a melodic sensibility which colours all of their work. After initial forays into acoustic singer-songwriting on the first BirdyHop EP, the brothers developed a highly original style; incorporating dazzling, sonic guitar and a variety of atmospheric sounds, musical styles and beats, which can be heard distinctively on tracks like In Over My Head, Sportsday (Radio Edit) and Blossom Tree. In 2019, BirdyHop released This Time (feat. Sharlette), the lead single from a long-standing EP project - 'The Well'. The 2020 global lock-down - and all that came with it - allowed for a long period of reflection and meditation. BirdyHop's response has been the completion of a series of 'anthology' recordings which encompass 5 years of unreleased, diverse artistic output. Beginning with the release of the meditative 'White Lies' in July, these songs capture moments in time and have been a true labour of love to unearth and bring fully to life.
