Baardsen is a Norwegian band based in Oslo, fronted by Trond Helge Bårdsen from the Norwegian "oil capital" Stavanger. The band album-debuted with "Skygger fra ei aen tid" (Shadows from another time) in September 2015. The debut was a mixture between indierock influenced from the 90´s and a more singer/songwriter kind of style. Baardsen received good reviews in Norwegian newspapers and magazines and several of the singles have received a lot of radio play at local and national radio stations. Many of the songs have also been listed on spotify playlists like "Norsk på spotify" (Norwegian music on spotify) and "New Nordic Indie". The band has toured several times in southern parts of Norway.
(Trond Helge) Baardsen writes in the Norwegian dialect "Stavangersk", even though the band is located in Oslo. He has an unique narrative style with texts dealing with everyday life, love issues (broken) dreams, politics, sometimes with a sense of humor - sometimes in full seriousness. In April 2017 he was awarded support from the Norwegian copywriter fund to his forthcoming 2nd album " Funges under the Facade", that will be released on 21 September 2018.
Baardsen consists of Trond Helge Bårdsen on guitar, vocals and piano, Henning Brøvig Hanssen on Bass, Stian Føyen on Drums, Emil Kraugerud on Guitar and Martin Torvik Langerød on Keyboards / Guitar.
