Suriname born James Francis, who’s real name is Iseak Asaf Leeflang, is a very promising singer songwriter who pushes through genres and styles.
Starting a career at 11 years old, James Francis continued to experiment with fashion and music to properly define himself. His first notable song was ‘Bonnie’ featuring Roger Reject, which was made in 2013 at 16 years old and became widely popular in his home country Suriname. Following ‘Bonnie’, James Francis released a mixtape called ‘The Tour’ with 13 tracks that caught the attention of Pepperdine Graphic, a popular news paper run by students in Malibu, California, which also featured a full page interview. After signing to Universal Music Group and Top Notch in the Netherlands to fully launch an international career, James Francis then released his first official EP called ‘Jodeine Vol. 1’, also containing a few notable singles that caught popular attention. His most recent project is a free mixtape containing 9 genre bending songs called ‘Dark Ranger’. Aside from currently preparing for his official debut album, James Francis has featured on songs with names such as Kalibwoy, Ronnie Flex, Trobi, Makkie, Rino Sambo, The Boy Next Door and The Partysquad.
