The Hollywood based rock industrial troupe, Davey Suicide, pairs arena-ready rock w/ Sunset Strip sleeze.
Founded in 2010 by frontman & namesake Davey Suicide, the group compiled of Niko Gemini, Derek Obscura & Needlz introduced their self-described "gutter goth rock" to the masses in 2012, on their debut EP, “Put Our Trust in Suicide.” Led by the polarizing single, “Generation Fuck Star” the group came out with middle fingers in the air to contest shows like American Idol & the Voice. In 2013, they dropped the self titled full-length LP, which put Davey Suicide on the map as Alternative Press’ 100 Bands You Need to Know, Kerrang’s 50 Greatest Rock Stars in the World, Big Cheese ‘Introducing’ & Revolvers ‘Ones to Watch.” In 2014, their sophomore full length, World Wide Suicide, arrived w/ heated speculation that their label, Standby Records had been on the brink of being exposed for several contractual breeches. DS spent the next year & a half in a grueling litigation w/ Standby over album rights & 70K in contractual breaches. This resulted in the release of a tell-all video from Suicide that went viral & sent the industry into a frenzy. A settlement was reached that same week in Aug 2016, in exchange for the removal of the viral post. This spawned the anthemic single "Rise Above" as an ode to breaking free from the label & gave fans the 1st taste of 3rd LP, Made from Fire. In March 2017, MFF charted high on Billboard as an independent. LP 4 is due out March 2019.
