New ATL indie artist/producer Seersha made a splash with her 2017 debut. Dubbed “synth-pop crooner” by her hometown’s Immersive Atlanta webzine and earning comparisons to Susanne Sundfør and Robyn by Electronic North out of Manchester, it’s hard to believe that in 2016 you would have found Seersha in Nashville writing primarily country songs for other artists.
Disillusioned with Music City, she moved home to ATL and wrote and produced her debut EP in just 3 weeks. “Seersha comes from Saoirse, which means freedom,” she explains. “That’s what this whole project is about for me.”
Two of the singles lifted from her debut EP appeared on Hype Machine and she has garnered shout-outs from yvynyl, Wonky Sensitive, Ultimate Music, Music & Other Drugs and more. Seersha cites influences as broad as her friend B.E.N's impressionist bass poems (he is the only instrumentation on the recordings besides Seersha’s production) to Phil Collins to MS MR. B.E.N’s live bass and lead vocals on the Seersha EP were recorded at legendary ATL "crunk" studio, The Zone (Lil Jon, Ludacris, Nelly, Ying Yang Twins). New music is forthcoming in 2018.
