Blue Kubricks are a Leeds, UK, based alt funk rock band. The band is five, of which two are brothers who have been playing instruments straight from breastfeeding.
From nip to guitar licks. Having played stages such as O2 Academy Leeds, O2 Islington Academy and Deaf Institute, Manchester and being Q-Magazine's Artist of the Week; the best is still yet to come. They have just released their single 'Heroin' and it's deliciously morish.
“scrappy indie rock teeters on a few different lines, at sometimes sounding brash, messy and warm. A band with huge potential” Q-Magazine, Artist of the Week
“Heroin is a mix between a love letter to their idols and a kick in the teeth to traditional rock music” Black is the new AP style, Chicago, USA
“musically Heroin provides a brilliant 3 minutes 12 seconds of feel good rock-funkiness” To The Local, Leeds, UK
“this new beauty ‘Heroin’…a ‘Santana’ feel with the lustrous lick of a guitar and drums that instantly transports you into a groove of funk-punk rock that will appeal to fans of pearl jam and red hot chilli peppers” RGM, UK
