Dofhiort'n was founded by the two best friends Manfred Högström (accordion, cajón, vocals) and Julius Z.
Strömberg (guitar, harmonica, vocals), who met the first time on the first day of school in their hometown of Vänersborg, Sweden in 1999. They founded their first punk band at age 14, Punktering Förbjuden, but the group was split after their debut album in 2011. In 2013, on a back-packing trip to Spain, the idea of starting a new band came up - and two weeks later the duo had their first concert as Dofhiort'n at a bar by the Mediterranean sea in Catalonia.
They've toured in Germany, Spain, Sweden and Norway, and during 2017 they released their first singles. Dofhiort'n is based on the duo, but is regularly accompanied by friends and additional musicians at shows, and since 2017 Marie Brun Landmark (bass, vocals - previously in Sweet Nothing) has been part of, what is now, the trio.
In April 2018 the recording of their debutalbum was initiated at the Music A Matic studios in Göteborg, Sweden together with producer Hans Rohdin (Rohdin, Deportees, Cortex, Harriet Nauer, et. al.). Except Manfred, Julius, Marie and Hans, the other main musicians on the album are; Pontus Eliasson (drums), Rasmus Sjöstedt (bass), Felix Fridefors (dobro guitar) and Andreas Lund (organ). The brass and strings were played by Manfred's friends in Linköping.
After one and a half year of production, the album "Bibliotek" was released on Monday the 14th of October 2019 [© Fult Med Flit 2019].
