In 2001 the band signed a recording contract with Geffen Records.
Cinder began to record the album Break Your Silence with Scott Weiland (of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver)
Weiland would end up producing nine of the album’s eleven unreleased tracks.
Jay Baumgartner (PapaRoach, Alien Ant Farm, and Drowning Pool) and John Kurzweg (Creed, Puddle of Mudd)
lent a hand in the production process and remaining songs.
After the album was finished the band began touring with such heavyweights as Creed, Sevendust, 30 Seconds to Mars and more.
Unfortunately, before the album's release, Geffen Records was bought out and bands including Cinder remained unreleased and dropped from the label.
The single from the unreleased Break Your Silence album - Soul Creation, received much airtime on radio, MTV and soundtracks for video games as well as feature films
Soul Creation, broke into the Mainstream Rock charts and still remains on popular Spotify digital playlists.
