Råttanson is a Swedish one-soul garage band singing stripped-down, guitar-driven self-penned tunes. Obsessed with the magic three chords and a keep-it-simple attitude he serves an addictive brew of mainly garage rock and power pop, but adds elements like paisley underground, bubblegum and surf.
Råttanson started out as a home recording project back in 2013. In the 1990s, Råttanson unmasked was a member of the power poppers Fanscene as well as the garage-flavored act The Rawhides. The self-produced debut album, Full-scale Shakeability, was released on Open Mind Records in 2017. The album is a proof of his position as “a very important artist” and a prediction of even bigger things to come. Whatever people say, Råttanson is winning by a landslide. Reviewers have described the music of the album with references to acts like The Barracudas, The Seeds, Link Wray, Vince Taylor, The Yardbirds and The Kinks.
