A lot has happened since those releases yet Charlie Belle still “makes melodic indie-pop feel like a viable option for the first time in eons,” as The Guardian has proclaimed. Since leaving their label, Charlie Belle has recorded two 5-song EPs close to home with Matt Noveskey of Blue October producing. These songs call to mind Irish alternative-pop band The Cranberries, and songstresses Natalie Imbruglia and Kate Nash. What started out as an LP, both EPs focus on stories of change, maturity, loss, and moving on. Like I Love This is due fall 2018, and Looking For Magic is due spring 2019.
AfroPunk has said that Charlie Belle is “definitely a band you'll want to know,” and we think you’ll agree.
