Soulful, energetic, & universal are three words that best describe the sound of music producer DeMarnio “TheyCallMeHeat” Stanley.
With influences ranging from the late James “J Dilla” Yancey (R.I.P.), Pharrell Williams & Dr. Dre, Heat has developed a distinct sound that covers many different genres. Growing up in Jackson, Michigan Heat fell in love with music early in life. At the age of 12 he began creating beats on a basic PC computer with minimal equipment and sounds. Over the course of 4 years, he practiced night & day working to develop his craft until he felt confident to showcase his production to family and friends. At 16, Heat knew he wanted to turn his hobby into a full-blown career. Determined and committed to gain more knowledge on production, the business, and how to achieve the success his famous influences had gained Heat spent countless hours online watching other producers create beats on Youtube, learning basic tricks of the trade. Fast forward to 2015, Heat also produced “On Fleek” by A-Game Writers, which was a song featured on the hit television series ‘EMPIRE’ (Season 2: Episode 4 - Poor Yorick), by 20th Century FOX Network. Heat has been featured on many different TV Networks, albums, & mixtapes in addition to producing full original albums with his friends/ Outersound Music Group & a slew of local & major artists. To this day, Heat continually works toward perfecting & developing his craft to become one of the greatest music producers of all time.
