As both a member of Misery Club as well as GothBoiClique affiliate; foxwedding has earned acclaim for his captivatingly atmospheric productions.
By crafting hip-hop instrumentals which are heavily inspired by witch house and wave, foxwedding is successfully creating timeless music, uncompromised by modern trends.
Born Joseph Cavallo, foxwedding grew up in the small farm town of Sodus, New York as the son of two musicians. He was just 13 years old when he began to craft his own productions in GarageBand, going back and forth in creating rap, alternative, and electronic beats.
In 2013, he began to release instrumentals as foxwedding, deriving his name from an Akira Kurosawa film. He eventually joined Wavemob, and a year later connected with Horse Head of GothBoiClique, the avant-garde emo collective of which foxwedding would go on to create some of his most popular work with. In 2016, he produced Wicca Phase Springs Eternal’s melancholic singles “Secret Boy” and “Absolute in Doubt,” the latter of which features the late Lil Peep. Two years later, foxwedding solely produced Wicca Phase’s somber “Corinthiax” EP. Soon after, he became a member of the alternative rap supergroup Misery Club, which boasts Wicca Phase, Nedarb, Jon Simmons, Zubin and Fantasy Camp as members.
While continuing to focus on his solo work, listeners can expect a solo project from foxwedding, as well as many more projects from Misery Club and his other frequent collaborators.
