Music has been a lifelong passion for Jason Mento, who first picked up a guitar at the age of 15. Over the years he's developed his own unique sound and uncovered a love of that time-honored tradition of songwriting as heartfelt storytelling. His music is groove-inspiring compositions of classic rock layered with a hint of dusted-off garage vibe, all wrapped up with grown-up pop sensibility. His artful acoustic guitar playing gives his music an almost folksy melodic vibe brought to life through well-woven tales of heartbreak, uplifting reminiscences, and whisper-sweet love songs. Jason has worked for his musical chops, earning a Professional Certificate of Guitar from Berklee College and performing regularly throughout Philadelphia and the tri-state area. He's stood before crowds large and small, performing at intimate gigs at local eateries and clubs to crowds at Atlantic City casinos, Penn's Landing, and Veteran's Stadium in Philadelphia. WXPN's Philly Local show, hosted by Helen Leicht, even invited him to perform live on-air one of his original tunes, 'Goodbye Age of Aquarius'. Showcasing his developing talents as a songwriter, 'Just Live Now' is Jason Mento's most recent recording. In his spare time, he dedicates his talents and time to serving his community. He wrote and recorded a theme song for the charity organization Fun for Fosters, which uplifts and inspires New Jersey foster kids, and works to promote their cause.
