Brazilian experimental electronic composer and sound designer, Edson Secco was born in 1976 and grew up in São Paulo influenced by a wide range of music from psychedelic rock to classical, hip-hop, brazilian music and electronica.
He started making music at the age of 15 using a computer and a MIDI controller. His main instruments since the beginning were the piano, drums and computer, where sound manipulation became a mark of his work, bringing him closer to electronic music and experimentalism. Best known for his work in the film industry, he started his professional career in the late 90s as a music producer and sound engineer. At the beginning of the 2000s he started to produce original soundtrack for plays, as well as to perform them live. In 2007, he started his career in the film industry and since then has more than 60 projects carried out. In 2014 he created the electronic tropical music duo NU - Naked Universe, together with singer and songwriter Ligiana Costa, having released two studio albums - "NU" (2015) and "Atlântica" (2019) and touring in several states in Brazil, the United States and European countries. Since 2016 he has been director of SONIDERIA, a label and studio specialised in original music and sound post-production for TV and Film based in São Paulo.
