Inspired by the works of Kings of Leon, Imagine Dragons and Alt-J, Decatur has taken on the Denver alternative rock scene while uniquely blurring the lines into folk rock with catchy hooks and thought-provoking lyrics. Decatur’s sound primarily consists of unique and slithering guitar complimented by atmospheric instrumentation and synths that orbit the magnetic and brooding voice of front man Sean DeCrescenzo. Decatur released their self-titled EP in April 2017 followed by the successful single release of "Shake" in November 2017. The group was also named a “2018 Band to Watch” by 303 Magazine, awarded Denver Westword’s 2018 Readers’ Choice for Best New Band and featured by Colorado Public Radio’s Open Air. Decatur has played a multitude of Denver venues including Black Shirt Brewing, Globe Hall, Herman’s Hideaway, Lost Lake, Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox, Streets of London Pub, The Hornet, The Toad Tavern, The Walnut Room and Your Mom’s House as well as Underground Music Showcase 2017 and 2018. Stay tuned for a new release in Fall 2018.
