In late 2000, Lifer went into the studio with Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson, who produced the band’s self titled full length debut. They then hit the road opening for numerous mainstream rock acts. Their first single, "Boring" was one of the most added modern-rock songs on active rock radio in 2001. In 2002, X-box unveiled their “NHL 2002" video game featuring "Parade”, and the song "Breathless" appeared on the "Scorpion King" soundtrack, which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Album Chart and was certified gold.
Two members, Fink and original bassist Mark James, had for a decade been in the multi-platinum, radio favorites Breaking Benjamin, helping them achieve super star status. In recent years, Fink and Coyle have joined the platinum selling artists Earshot and Cold, respectively, and continue to make modern hard rock music on many fronts.
March of 2020 marked the first studio release in 18 years, “The Start Of Something Else,” to stellar reviews.
