tri patterns is an indie pop band originating Indianapolis, Indiana with a current second home of Nashville, Tennessee made up of Dawson Freeman and Nathan Davis.
The two began writing beachy, light hearted indie pop songs inspired by artists like Vampire Weekend, Hippo Campus and The Strokes as 16 year olds during study halls in high school. After a couple of years of writing and performing in their hometown, the duo headed to Nashville to record their debut EP “Feels Like Color”, followed by singles "Hyacinth" and "Cycles". The band has landed opening slots for nationally acclaimed indie acts like Yoke Lore, Coast Modern, Bad Bad Hats and Diet Cig while amassing hundreds of thousands of streams on Spotify and other services. The band compiles inspiration from an ever expanding variety of genres to produce songs full of catchy, interactive guitar playing and imagery laden storytelling.
