<div>An iconic figure of Quebec’s electro-pop landscape, Montréal-born Debbie Tebbs is a francophone songwriter, composer, performer and producer.
Versatile musician and visual artist, Tebbs offers synth-pop music to electronic instrumentation and new wave, performed through a rich visual universe that is both vintage and futuristic. <br></div><div><br></div><div>After 15 years of entertaining crowds on dance floors across Canada and Europe as a DJ, the musician left the spin table to write and release Modern Talking, her first original English album (2012), which was followed two years later by UP!, her second original opus whose track title stood out thanks to a collaboration with the musical group Valaire. Critically acclaimed and nominated for “Electronic album of the year” at the 2015 GAMIQ awards, Tebbs entrusted her creations to 14 artists whose remixed versions gave life to the RE-UP! album. While completing a long tour, Tebbs explored new sounds and released Chrome (2018). The French album, inspired by European synth-pop, marks a major shift for the artist with songs such as “Dans les Voiles”, produced in collaboration with Jacobus (Radio Radio).
Her contagious pop, catchy rhythms, evocative texts and unique visual signature, along with her impressive career, make Debbie Tebbs a staple artist in Quebec’s electro-pop landscape.</div><br>www.debbietebbs.com<br>
