It’s often said that great music should take you to another place. Sometimes a band comes along that actively propels you somewhere specific: Go March.
Lead by the German-born Philipp Weies, Go March are now ratcheting up the momentum for a busy 2018. ‘Organised bedlam’ could also describe their recording process: epic jam sessions, which yielded a fine self-titled album in late 2015, and are sending the band in a bold new direction for the sophomore record later this year. Along the way they’ve played festivals across Europe and into Asia, opened for fellow sonic travellers Holy Fuck, Maserati and Trans Am, while also earning airplay from respected radio tastemakers Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio 6) and Zane Lowe (Beats 1).
