Only equipped with his guitar and a handful of songs, the 17year old Jonathan Schultz fled for France back in 2013.
That was the spark of a career that has brought about two EP and an upcoming debut album. Within the five years, Jonathan has moved from acoustic tranquility on 'Céline' which brought about critical acclaim from music media in his native Denmark, as well as his second home in France. Forward two years and the EP, 'Broadcast Dynamics' shows Jonathan evolving both his tonal strength and his songwriting vocabulary with a more psychedelic approach. It's now been three years since the world was presented with new material from Schultz & Forever, a minor hiatus that will be broken with Jonathans debut album, 'Grand Guignol'. Grand Guignol, "the Great Puppet Theater", sounds well-played and neither voice nor instrumentation are hidden; everything is clear, handcrafted, but there are great emotions and conflicts in the mix. The inner most private parts of Jonathans life are up for grabs in the new material, as well in the video for the single, 'Backwards', that shows a bare naked Jonathan in the role of a croquis model.
