The musical adventure of brothers Axel and Adam Jane Olsson began in their early youth, being the sons of musician Christer Olsson (Plums, Noll 31, Scandinavian 5) and a mother with a passion for music, growing up to the sounds of Motown, The Beatles and Michael Jackson to name a few. It was only natural for the brothers to develop a keen sense of melody, harmony and originality.
Emerging from the suburbs of Hammerhill / Gothenburg, Jaded Jane's musical path eventually lead them to New York where they spent ten years back and forth immersing themselves with some of the most inspiring musicians on Earth.
The 5th album "117" is a homecoming for the brothers Axel & Adam.
Recorded in the House where they grew up on 117th Street they are returning to where it all began.
Captured live in their raw, unpolished state by Sound Artist Åke Linton we get an intimate glimpse into the core of what Jaded Jane is - two brothers expressing themselves & sharing their stories through voice, piano & guitar performing original music.
The only overdubbing being a single cello played beautifully by David Bukovinszky with arrangements by Mattias Bylund & Nils-Petter Ankarblom
A moog bass & a Prophet Synthesizer played by Axel as well as the subtle notes of a triangle on Adams official songwriting & lead vocal debut song “Tree Of Life” where Adam also lays down some hand percussion the way their Father used to do.
