Award-winning British-Argentine composer and concert pianist, he was born in Buenos Aires. He left Argentina at an early age to study in Paris and Berlin while touring as a concert pianist all over Europe and Latin America, becoming known for his pioneering solo recitals that included classically inspired piano improvisations.
His compositions are widely regarded as highly evocative and passionate. His latest works include the ground-breaking Multi-Faith Oratorio 'Libera Nos', and his 'Bohemian Concerto' for piano and full orchestra. He is presently working on his first opera. Polo is the founder and general director of the 'International Composers Festival' and the artistic director of the 'Hastings Sinfonia Orchestra' which he founded in 2012 with the specific intention to perform tuneful and universally appealing classical music including works by living composers.
