As one of the hardest working emcees's in L.A. today, Destruct has shown what it takes to gain acclaim and respect in one of the most unforgiving music scenes in the world.
Born on August 16th, 1988 in Los Angeles, CA to a Brazilian mother and Chilean father. All throughout his life he was exposed to diverse genres of music ranging from Samba to Rock en Espanol. By the age of 6 Destruct became fascinated with hip-hop music and started rapping & beatboxing.
At the age of 17 Destruct entered the L.A. hip-hop scene and within his first three years, he has rocked hundreds of shows with legends like KRS-One, Slum Village, Dilated Peoples, Rakim, Psycho Realm, Method Man from Wu-Tang & more. He has also collaborated with artists such as Grammy award-winning Sirah, Sean Price, Kev Brown and Exile to just name a few.
It's been a decade that Destruct has been in the music scene and has released 29 studio albums and counting, including one with his live band "Inner City Soul". He has been blessed as well to run his own studio "Area 52" in the city of Van Nuys, California, where he provides recording and executive producer services. He also dabbled in filming and has directed a short film, two music videos and more to come.
All and all Destruct is here to be much more than your everyday Hip Hop artist, but a true contributor to the culture and lifestyle, progressing the movement forward. Destruct is here for a legacy, not a trend.
