Darshaan is a British Indie Electronic artist & producer based in London. He’s only been on the music scene a short time but has already received critical attention.
His 2019 single ‘Palm of My Hand.’ was played on Huw Stephens’ Radio 1 show and Steve Lamacq’s Radio 6 Roundtable, having gained over 180,000 streams on Spotify and garnering multiple spots on popular playlists. These include Pop Right Now and New Music Friday (Germany and Switzerland).
Now a BBC Introducing Artist for the Asian Network, he has had considerable airtime including live interviews with Yasser and Bobby Friction, whilst his single ‘Northern Line.’ was Track of the Week on the Asian Network. Other interviews include those with BBC Introducing: Berkshire, with an interview on Linda Serck’s show, and a live performance on Soho Radio. His track ‘Watercolours.’ has also had BBC Asian Network and BBC Introducing support.
After a headline BBC Introducing show prior to the pandemic, Darshaan was shortlisted for a BBC Introducing slot at Glastonbury Festival and was also confirmed in the line-up for Henley Festival, with a support slot at Omeara on 4th September (rescheduled to April 2021). He has also made a television appearance on Sky One as the bassist for Leyma on Soccer AM.
