Ariana Grande

Actress, singer, and dancer Ariana Grande is best known for portraying the character Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious.

Born in 1993 in Boca Raton, Florida, Grande sang from a young age and by her teens had performed with several South Florida orchestral ensembles. She made her Broadway debut at age 15 in the role of Charlotte in the musical 13. She then appeared in the role of Miriam in Desmond Child's musical Cuba Libre. From 2010 to 2013, Grande portrayed the character of Cat Valentine on the high school-set Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious. In 2013, she began starring in the Victorious spin-off show Sam & Cat and released her debut full-length album, Yours Truly, on Republic Records. In March of 2013, Grande released the album's lead single, "The Way," featuring rapper Mac Miller. In early 2014, she performed at the request of the White House as part of the First Lady's Women of Soul: In Performance at the White House concert. The following month, she released the lead single "Problem" from her forthcoming second album, My Everything, which was slated for release in August 2014. Featuring rapper Iggy Azealia, the track was an indication of the new and mature direction Grande intended to take. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
